A student named Vijay Bhaskar tried to hurl a chappal at Ponnala Lakshmaiah, the Telangana PCC Chief, who was campaigning at Jangaon, his local constituency, today. This incident occurred in the weavers’ colony in Jangaon municipality , when the young man tried to hurl a chappal at Ponnala Lakshmaiah. The local Congress Party activists who noticed this attempt caught hold of him and dragged him away from the spot. Whether it is the act of the rival TRS or JSP party activists is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile upset over the event, Ponnala left the place in a huff without completing his campaign. Monday is the last day for political campaigning in the Telangana region.
