Congress Party seems to have understood the situation of their party in the upcoming elections. Surveys predict that Narendra Modi led Bharathiya Janata Party (BJP) will emerge as a single largest party in this upcoming elections and it won't be surprising if BJP can form the government even without their allies. Congress party position in Seemandhra has become worst and the party is finding it hard to get the candidates to contest.

Everyone know that only TDP and YSRCP are the major contenders this time and political analysts said that they would be surprised if the Congress Party win more than 5 MLA seats in Seemandhra. Even the national leader must have understood the situation by now and that might be the reason that Sonia Gandhi has allocated just 15 lakhs for the poll expenditure of Congress candidates in Seemandhra. Analysts feel that Congress party can save that money as well, if they won't contest in the elections as they might lose the deposits in the 90% of the constituencies.
