Info Post

YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy has been under a scanner both by his political rivals and many law-enforcing authorities. With elections round the corner, he is being subjected to scathing criticism by leaders from other political parties and various media channels who have labeled him corrupt and power-hungry. So, in a counter move, Jagan has come up with a proposition that if he is voted to power, then every major decision and every tender would be submitted to the High Court and CAG for scrutiny. He says that both the bodies will have to give their approval or suggestion within a stipulated time frame.

Jagan says this process will ensure transparency and will help the government perform better. He said media houses like Eenadu spare no reason to find fault with him and his party. Jagan added that such perusal by High Court and CAG will ensure that such media houses would not be able to find fault with his government’s activities. If one does not go into the nitty-gritty, Jagan’s proposal sounds interesting and intriguing. But the big question is if such a rule is made, will the High Court and CAG extend their support? While it’s easy to find fault, it is a difficult task to give advise to pre-empt an error.
