In his desperate bid to come to power in Andhra Pradesh at any cost, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has been virtually promising moon to the people, besides claiming that he was the one who had developed the State in all the fields. But his tall claims have become subject of utter ridicule even by critics and analysts, not just his political rivals. “Thank God, Naidu has not claimed that he had created the Oceans and the Himalaya mountains,” was a comment made by a political analyst in one of the television shows on Wednesday morning.
He was referring to the promises being made by the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu during his on-going election campaigning, particularly his assertion that he was responsible for the Cell phones and Information Technology in the State. According to analysts, Naidu is totally frustrated after his party’s defeat in the 2004 and 2009 general elections and all the bye-elections held since 2004 and he is desperate about getting power by hook or crook.
The promises he has been making now, are making the people laugh at. He is promising the Moon to the people of the State, obviously thinking that the people are gullible and they could not assess the viability and practicability of the promises he is making.
