Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao’s aggressive statements intimidating Andhra people residing in Hyderabad have incurred a lot of criticism from his rivals and caused apprehensions among the people. Telangana Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Saturday attacked the TRS chief for trying to gain politically by threatening settlers and investors in the State. He alleged that KCR had misled the people of the region in the name of movement for separate State.

It was sheer nonsense that he tried to deceive the people for his selfish gains. “Afraid of KCR and Telangana movement, many investors and businessmen refrained from investing money in the state,” he alleged. “Though our government took initiative, some businessmen have failed to show interest in pumping in their money and open up their shops in our State’, Ponnala observed. Had KCR refrained from making intimidating statements, the Telangana region could have got many big businesses, he opined.
