Info Post

Actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna has dropped enough hints that he is not going to be satisfied with becoming just MLA. In a way, he has thrown a challenge to his brother-in-law and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu. Immediately after filing his papers from Hindupur assembly constituency on Wednesday, Balakrishna did not rule out the possibilities of him getting into the race for the post of Chief Minister of residuary State of Andhra Pradesh if TDP was voted to power.

He said he was willing to accept the post of the Chief Minister if the party asks him to do so. He expressed confidence that the TDP would come to power in both Telangana and Seemandhra regions. He asked all family members of Nandamuri family including Junior NTR to campaign for the TDP candidates in ensuing elections. He also promised creation of NTR District. Balakrishna’s claim for the CM post will definitely cause jitters in Naidu, as there is a pressure from within the party rank and file to hand over the reins to NTR family. But Naidu is a shrewd politician and one doubts whether Balakrishna would be able to tackle him.
