William shakespeare is considered to be the all time best playwright in English literature. He wrote all genres of plays such as, 'tragedies', 'comedies' and tragi-comedies'. The themes of many of his tragedies are mostly based on conspiracies and treachery among the close relatives. Incidentally, we can witness similar conspiracies in current politics as well. Following are some of the conspiracies seen in shakespeare's plays which, every now and then, seen in current politics.

THE TEMPEST: This was an interesting comic play written by shakespeare. This was considered to be the last play ofshakespeare. In this play, the jealous younger brother, Antonio attempts conspiracy against his elder brother Prospero and dethrones the latter's position as a Duke of Milan.

HAMLET: In this play too, a younger brother Claudius plans for a murder of his brother King Hamlet, and is successful in occupying the throne after his brother's murder.

JULIUS CAESAR: In this play Brutus plots for the murder of Caesar. However, this conspiracy of Brutus is for a good cause.

MACBETH: In this play, Lady Macbeth is the dangerous woman, who encourages her husband, Macbeth, indulging in many crimes. Finally, she commits suicide.
