Info Post

Superstar Rajinikanth's much awaited flick 'Vikram Simha' has been postponed from May 9th to May 23rd citing technical issues. Makers claimed the delay is due to the demand to cater for multiple language in both 2D and 3D format on same day.

However, The actual facts that prompted makers to postpone are really shocking as this is for the first time a Rajini film got postponed for such reasons. 'Vikram Simha' which was made with a whooping budget of Rs 125 crore landed in financial crisis and Producers are yet to pay Rs 40 crore loan taken from a private bank. Exhibitors raised objection to the proposal of offering 70 revenue in first week to Producers against the normal 60-40 agreement. Most of the distributors are of the opinion 'Vikram Simha' mayn't attract crowds like other Rajini films as it is an animated version.

Trade Analysts say, Makers of 'Vikram Simha' missed a golden opportunity by postponing the film. May 9th is an ideal date for the release of big ticket film. In Telugu, Tamil & Hindi, There were no big releases this week. So, 'Vikram Simha' could have pocketed record openings everywhere if released on May 9th. On May 23rd, 'Vikram Simha' will be facing tough competition as several biggies including Akkinenis 'Manam' are in the line-up.

A section of people in film trade feel even 'Vikram Simha' release on May 23rd is doubtful. Such release issues are common for films which are experimental and high budget. Hope, 'Vikram Simha' passes the big test!
