Former Minister for Information and Public Relations and Congress leader DK Aruna has kicked up a new debate in Telangana, the 29th state of India. While TRS and Congress are still struggling to find out the exact number of seats they're going to win in recently held Assembly polls, Aruna has expressed her wish to see a Lady Chief Minister for Telangana.

Aruna said, "When 50% of total population are women, what's wrong in anointing a lady CM?" Aruna added, "Congress is going to get more than 50 seats in Telangana and going to form the government here. While there will be a tough fight between Congress and TRS in another 15 seats." Aruna is confident of pocketing 10 Assembly seats in Mahabubnagar and accused KCR of manipulating surveys and throwing people into quandary.

When asked about whether she is in CM race, Aruna said she is "naturally" in the race. She hoped that MIM and CPI will come forward to support Congress.
