Prabhas is absolutely fine : says S S Rajamouli

Prabhas began shooting for S S Rajamouli's upcoming film Baahubali, he has been the target of umpteen number of rumours, most of which were about his health. At one point, the situation got so out of control that the director had to speak out almost every week quashing the rumours. For the past few months, when everything seemed going well, Prabhas is once again in news and this time, it was because of his sling, which fuelled rumours that the actor has suffered a major injury.

A source close to the production unit reveals that rumours about Prabhas' shoulder injury began when he was spotted wearing a sling at his cousin's wedding; however, Rajamouli clarified that there's nothing to worry. "Prabhas underwent a minor shoulder surgery a month ago.We successfully managed to keep it a secret (to avoid unnecessary speculation) till now, but he couldn't avoid attending his cousin's wedding ceremony. The surgery was long due and we planned it in the summer so the unit too can escape the summer heat," Rajamouli said, adding, "He is absolutely fine now and will be back in action in a month."

Baahubali also stars Rana, Anushka and Tamannaah. M M Keeravani is scoring the music and Senthil is the cinematographer. The period drama is being touted as one of the most ambitious and expensive films ever made in India. The first part of Baahubali is expected to hit the screens in summer, 2015.
