Despite local bodies’ results favouring TDP, YSRCP official spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao insists that TDP’s hopes will be thwarted and that YSRCP will win the assembly elections. He said that TDP had in fact got less than what they had calculated in the municipal elections. He pointed out that despite lack of strong cadre, YSRCP managed to get good results and expressed regret that the media was not highlighting this achievement and making negative comments instead. Ramachandra Rao gave the example of CPM winning elections in West Bengal in 1977 when it was going strong in only two districts. He said people had voted to decide if Jagan should come to power or not. There was barely 4 per cent difference in the votes polled, said Rao. He added that the results did not include all the voters in Seemandhra.
This Is YSRCP's Version
